The basis of this success is healthy eating, based on homemade cheeses and good quality wine, contact with nature and relationships with friendly people. If you want to try our recipe for long life this is the tour for you!


During your tour:

♦ Meet your local guides in Alghero. He will head you into the countryside of the Regional Park of Porto Conte, talking about the agro-pastoral tradition of the area and the great products of this day: wine and cheese.

♦ Enjoy visiting a local winery and learning about the wine-making process. An expert will answer all your curiosities!   

♦ Understand the lengthy winemaking process and the ageing, tasting 3 different types of wine, guided by the local expert. 

♦ After this experience, we will change the scenario, reaching one of the most traditional farms in our territory. We will discover the traditional and modern cheese dairy, talking about the production of "sa vhrue", ricotta and pecorino (sheep milk cheese) production and their healthy nutritional properties.  

♦ At the end, enjoy another fantastic tasting of 2 wines accompanied by the delicious pecorino cheese, salami and pane Carasau (local bread) produced by the farmers.  

At each farm, there will be enough time to wander around the properties, take pictures and admire the astonishing Sardinian countryside, and buy wines and cheeses you tasted. 


Point of departure: Alghero.

Difficulty: easy, suitable for all ages except for kids.

Duration: 5 hours, from 3:00 to 8:00 pm.

When: on Wednesday and Saturday or on-demand.

Cost: 100 € per person. Minimum number of 4 people.

What is included: transport, guide (English and Italian speaking), wine (5 different kinds) and food (cheese, salami, local bread) and a visit to the winery and the farm. 

Vehicle: Land Rover Defender 110 9 seats; Mitsubishi Outlander, 7 seats. Air conditioning.

◊ Special request: vegetarian and gluten-free are welcome.

"Great way to spend an afternoon and evening! 5 hours spent with delightful company and with our knowledgeable and friendly host, Fabio. We visited wineries, sampled wine, pecorino and olive oil with local bread. We saw how the wine was made and also how the cheese was flavoured and smoked. As it was a small group of 8 we had the opportunity to chat and swap travellers' tales. A lot of fun. Highly recommended and well worth the money."
